52 Ways to Grow Your Badass, Courageous Introvert Brand

WEEK 2

INTROVERT MAGIC

Hey ,

Found your 2023 mojo yet? Good 🙌.

And if not, here's something that'll help:

Today I want to talk about introvert marketing. Which, for some of you, simply means you aren't doing any (right?? 🤨).

But let's face it - that's no way to grow a BCI brand.

So we're jumping right into the deep end of the courage-over-comfort pool.

See, the reason why sales and marketing often feel icky to introverts is that the commercial landscape seems to reward (s)he who shouts loudest. And the idea of having to use push tactics, cold calling, disruption and sales pitches make us die a little on the inside...

What we don't see is that many highly successful entrepreneurs identify as introverts. They have simply found ways to promote their brand that work for them.

This year is about figuring out what works for YOU - and what works for your brand but is better done by someone who is not you (i.e. outsourcing).

And we're starting by celebrating what makes your approach magical.

So grab a piece of paper (or a spreadsheet, if you're that way inclined), and make three columns:

  1. On the left, write down ten things you do really well (as a result of being an introvert) - for me, that would include reading broadly and frequently, being curious about peeling back a person's layers, and deep thinking
  2. In the middle column, write down how your clients benefit from each of those things
  3. On the right, think about how you can make those benefits more obvious to your clients

Why does it pay to make our strengths more obvious to our clients? Isn't that bragging?

Not at all. In fact, it helps us to serve our clients better.

For one, those strengths and benefits are the ingredients to your brand's secret sauce.  We'll talk about that more in an upcoming email.

But it mostly helps because as introverts, we're FANTASTIC at hiding our light under a bushel 🙈. And sure, clients want honesty - but they don't necessarily want us humble. They really want us confident, so they themselves can be confident in us. And that's something we need to practice more.

Remember: If something feels more valuable, it IS more valuable.

By telling your clients about all the ways they benefit from you being exactly the way they are, they will value your services (and your brand) more.

And because this is badass brand building, don't just tell them.

Own it, and celebrate it!

Have fun discovering your introvert magic 🦄🌞💜
