52 Ways to Grow Your Badass, Courageous Introvert Brand

WEEK 4

BRAND WEAK POINTS

Hello ,

Last week we talked about how you can build yourself a reputation as an expert.

(If you didn't read that one, you should - it's a good one!)

But here's the elephant in the room:

To come across as an expert, we can't be insecure about our own stuff.

Confidence is fundamental in brand building. We're naturally attracted to confident people, and when we buy, we want to buy from people who believe out loud in their product (out loud being the seminal phrase here).

This means we need to change the things that make us feel small. The things that we'd rather not show anyone, have been on our to-do list forever, or which we avoid altogether.

I did say on day one we'd be looking the uncomfortable bits in the eye...

So make a list. Little things and big things, internal or external. Take some time with this, and try to be thorough.

Anything to do with how you present yourself and your brand goes:

😕 The sorry state of your website (© YourCompany, 2017) .

😅 That onboarding sequence you promised yourself you'd write, but never did.

🙈 The way your proposals look like they were formatted by a fifth-grader.

😕 That there isn't a streamlined look to all your documents.

😭 How when someone asks what you do, your answer never comes out quite right.

😟 That your logo doesn't feel like YOU anymore.
😝 How you don't like the way you come across in videos.

😈 That every time you open Canva, you get sucked into the myriad of shiny template temptations and now every post looks like it's from a different company.

😑 The guilt you feel for not posting, but not knowing what to post.

😖 The way you (or a team member) answer(s) the phone.

😬 How you'd like to charge more, but don't know how.

😨 How you feel you need a proper strategy, but don't know where to start.

😡 That you can't seem to get across just how amazing what you do really is for your clients.

😱 How you'd rather swallow your tongue than give a prospect a price, even if they directly asked for it...

Some of those will hit home. Because we ALL have brand weak points.

But this is why it's called brand building. Not brand instantly-perfect-magicking.

It's a process that takes time and effort.

So now you have your list, rank the items from most to least detrimental to your confidence and reputation.

Those top five are your focus for this year. They may look scary, but they are the start of an incredible transformation.

Don't be dejected if your list is long. My own list is long, because I constantly tweak, evolve and update.

And if your list is pushing all your buttons and you feel overwhelm brewing, I invite you to book a free call with me. I will help you prioritise, plan and identify some quick wins.

No strings attached. Just a bit of clarity.

Because better brands = better life 💜.

See you on a call?
